Robin Barone C98, is an entrepreneur, writer, and traveler who has visited over 60 countries and lived abroad. Robin is the founder of Diplomat Books, a publishing company that teaches curiosity. Curiosity is the basis of teamwork, collaboration, change management, resiliency, and diversity in the workplace. Curiosity fosters patience and inquisitiveness. People that are curious are less fearful, more open, and more confident. Curious people are happier.

The company is known for the series Where is Robin, which uses travel to teach curiosity to kids ages 4 to 8 years. The series has been internationally distributed to over 14 countries and sold in major chain stores.


Prior to founding Diplomat Books, Ms. Barone worked in real estate finance where she was known for her ability to formulate win-win solutions. Her career began working as analyst in a mortgage brokerage followed by an investment fund and later right hand to the CFO of a REIT. Robin also serves as an adjunct instructor at NYU and has authored successful white papers about real estate finance.

Ms. Barone earned a B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania in Mathematics, a M.S. from NYU in Real Estate Finance, and M.B.A. from INSEAD. Her leadership style is described as curious, collaborative, and considerate. When she is not writing or traveling, she can be found skiing, rowing, or playing tennis.
